Many authors such as Bizzell have argued about foundationalism and anti-foundationalism, this is not just something that has come up once but it has come up many times throughout the years of redeveloping discourse communities. Bizzell mentions that this is taking a social turn and students who are in composition classes are studying recent growths of “philosophy, literary, and the human sciences” (pg. 202).
